Join Elizabeth Hoisington as she teaches our families to practice mindfulness through a series of fun exercises. Each week a different mindfulness and meditation exercise will be introduced that you and your family can do at home.
It’s not uncommon for youth to struggle with irritability and anger. What can you do in the heat of an angry moment? Could there be a stressor or problem beneath the anger? How can you teach your child to skillfully manage frustration? Come explore these questions and others during this presentation.
Instructor Susan Rix interweaves stories, games, and poses allowing participants to learn in a multi-sensory environment which explores the visual, physical, and emotion. Learn breathing tools to aid in the ability to calm down naturally.
Unlike other physical forms of yoga that use still or slow yoga postures, Laughter Yoga is like kindergarten recess for adults, with lots of eye contact, high energy, movement, and an atmosphere filled with child-like playfulness. We bring joy to the body through lots of laughter, silliness, and deep inhalation and exhalation, which increase the net supply of oxygen to our body and our brain.
Meditation with Elizabeth Hoisington is a relaxing program that we offer weekly. Take a 20 minute breather and some time to recharge during your lunch break; the only thing you have to lose is some extra stress!
