Madrone Canyon Trail Hike @ Laura's
Jean Love El Harim will lead a guided Madrone Canyon Trail hike on the First Saturdays of the month at 10:00 a.m. Hikers will meet at the Trailhead (parking area) to wander and wonder on the trail at a gentle pace for approximately one hour. Dress comfortably for the weather; long pants and sturdy shoes with closed toes are always recommended. For your personal use, you may wish to bring a hat, water bottle, sunscreen, insect repellant, field guides, notebook and pen, camera, and/or binoculars.
No registration required, but we will require you to sign a liability waiver. Hike will not meet during inclement weather. Recommended for ages 5 and up.
A life-long student, educator, and nature enthusiast, Jean, completed her Texas Master Naturalist training in April, 2016. She has volunteered many hours for the City of Austin Wildlands Division, especially in the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve. Among other Master Naturalist activities, Jean is currently updating a database of the plant species at the Vireo Preserve and wants to do the same for the Madrone Canyon Preserve.
