Understanding How the Heart Works

You know that a heart pumps blood. But what can emergency medical services do to help a heart that’s not working well?

Today in the Commons, a member from VIK Complete Care will explain how a heart works. Outside, a paramedic from Republic EMS will demonstrate how an AED works on a failing heart, explain how a patient is treated during transport, and provide a tour of an ambulance.
